Small and powerful wireless router with 3G USB surfstick connector*

GlobeSurfer X.1 is an advanced wireless gateway router that allows to set up a local computer network and can distribute an Internet connection through wireless LAN and Ethernet to all connected devices. GlobeSurfer X.1 is easy to setup and administer using any Internet browser.

	For beginners: The ‘Quick Setup Wizard’ guides you through the basic settings to connect easily. Experts can configure advanced firewall and gateway settings.
	Fast: This router supports WLAN b/g and n for local network speeds with up to 160 Mbit/s
	Secure: GlobeSurfer X.1 features WEP as well as WPA, WPA2 support, MAC address blocking and additional security options.

Internet connection: Attach your DSL modem* to the WAN ethernet port and use the Quick Setup to connect to your Internet provider instantly. All connected devices can now share this Internet connection together.

Network connection: Attach a computer, an ethernet phone or a switch to the LAN port of the GlobeSurfer X.1 to use the network router capabilities of the device.

3G USB modem option: Attach a compatible 3G USB modem on top of the X.1 and use the Quick Setup to connect with the mobile Internet. All connected devices can now use the 3G connection for a truly mobile Internet connection. A modem is not included, see the list of compatible USB modems here.

DSL failover: If you use a 3G USB modem besides a DSL Internet connection, the GlobeSurfer X.1 can switch to the 3G connection automatically if the DSL connection fails. If the DSL connection is available again, the GlobeSurfer X.1 will switch back.*

Perfect design: Compact form factor with a width and length of 10cm. This makes the Globesurfer X.1 a pocket size device that can easily travel with you. It is made of sturdy plastics that are robust enough to take the knocks commonly associated with travel and packing of computer equipment. The USB connector is adjustable, so when not in use, retracts into the casing of the device, leaving a perfectly flush, rounded surface, aesthetically pleasing and stylishly designed.

Hidden LED’s displaying status: Hidden beneath the glossy black veneer lie 4 LED’s that indicate the activities of the cradle device. Each icon is only illuminated when in use, and is completely hidden when not.
