Berlin, 10th of September 2002 – nova media, specialist for mobile data solutions, introduces the first GPRS datacard for Mac OS. Running in all GSM networks worldwide, GlobeTrotter features Tri-Band GSM/ GPRS connection for high speed Internet access anytime, anywhere. GlobeTrotter runs with Mac OS X 10.2.6, 10.2 and Mac OS 9.

GlobeTrotter is one of the few devices already supporting 4 channel download and 2 channel upload with maximum download speeds up to 52.800 bit/s.

Provided with GlobeTrotter is the easy to use Mobile High Speed for Mac OS software to provide fast access to many european as well GPRS networks as well as Voicestream in the US. If no GPRS network is available, standard GSM can be used instead.

GlobeTrotter is conveniently small to leave it in the PowerBook whilst not in use, with only 4mm (0,16 inches) sticking out of the datacard slot. Powerful energy saving routines help to preserve the battery life of the PowerBook.

The price tag of GlobeTrotter is 399,- Euro and is available immediately. The same goes for the PC Version, supporting Windows 98/ME/2000/NT 4 as well as XP. Both versions can be obtained at nova media, www.novamedia.de.
