nova media MDS GmbH unveils Cost Control for Palm OS

Berlin, Germany, April 6 -- nova media MDS GmbH today unveiled Cost Control for Palm OS, a monitoring tool for online traffic. The tool tracks time and volume information for any online session connected by a cell phone, smartphone or WiFi access, including Treo devices´ GSM/ GPRS connections.

The small application is able to create extensive cost reports based on the user´s billing information. Cost Control supports different subscription plans including free time and volume allowance, daily and monthly basic charges, dial-in and connection fees, billing per kilobyte and much more.

Cost Control can report the status of the current connection including the IP address and the connection speed. Furthermore it creates a monthly statistic as well as detailed information for any single connection. These detailed reports include date and time, transferred upload, download and total data volume transferred as well as spent online time and total connection time of any single connection.

Cost Control is integrated into the command bar of the Palm OS. Thus it is possible to gain a quick overview of the spent online time and data volume of the current online session from any application.
