nova media unveils new colorful 3G surfstick for Mac OS X


Berlin, Germany – April 15 2010 – Berlin based nova media today unveiled iCON XY®, a sleek 3G USB surfstick made by the Belgium company Option. The HSPA modem reaches down- and upload speeds up to 7.2Mbps and 5.76Mbps, is very slim, has a new fun to use swivel USB connector and a micro-SD slot compatible to SDHC cards with up to 32 Gigabyte memory.

The iCON XY® is not SIM locked and can be used in any 3G network running on 900 or 2100 MHz and on any EDGE/GPRS network running on 850, 900, 1800 or 1900 MHz.

The iCON XY® features a selfinstalling connection manger, 'uCAN Connect®' software from Option. It is compatible to all Intel Macs from 10.4.11 to 10.6.x and offers a SMS text message manager, a statistic manager for online time and data volume and additional features like the ability to quit an Internet connection when a time or data limit has been reached.

The colorful 3G surfstick offers a new innovative USB swivel connector which is made for convenient use and storage and opens up like a car key.

The iCON XY® is available today from nova media at http://www.novamedia.de/en/icon-xy.html for Euro 100.00 (plus sales tax if applicable) and requires an Intel Macintosh computer running Mac OS X 10.4.11 to 10.6.2. Drivers and software for Windows XP, Vista and 7 are preinstalled on the iCON XY® as well.
