First worldwide Macintosh support for EDGE connections
Berlin, 5th of March 2004 - nova media today unveiled Mobile High Speed 3.23, the first Mac OS software to support online connections using the EDGE protocol. The new release adds support for a Nokia 6620, Motorola T725E and SonyEricsson GC82 datacard.
EDGE is currently available at AT&T in the US and allows significant higher upload and download rates. Depending on the device and the load of the network, download speeds can raise up to 110 kbit/s and upload speeds up to 40 kbit/s.
Mobile High Speed completes the set up of Mac OS X for an EDGE or GRPS connection by creating a new location with all connection details already in place, freeing the user of entering INIT strings, user names, passwords or searching for modem scripts.
Version 3.23 of Mobile High Speed for Mac OS X includes more than 200 network settings for most mobile network carriers worldwide and supports more than 87 phones and datacards. Mobile High Speed is available for download at www.novamedia.de for 49.94 US-$ plus VAT.
