Use your ExpressCard EC400/EC400g with Mac OS X

Thank you for purchasing a modem device from Sony Ericsson.

To use the ExpressCard EC400/EC400g with your Mac OS X system, you will need “launch2net – Sony Ericsson Edition”. This application enables you to set up and use HSPA, UMTS, EDGE and GPRS connections, depending on your mobile device and network carrier.

			IMPORTANT: Install launch2net first before plugging in your EC400/EC400g. Do not sleep your Mac whilst the configurator window is open. If you have, or you are unsure, unplug the EC400/EC400g before resuming your Mac.

1. Check if your network operator is supported

Please click on the link to the left to see all supported network operators and check if your network is supported.

2. Download the software

Please click on the link to the left to download the latest version of launch2net – Sony Ericsson Edition. The size is 14 Megabyte.

Installation

1. Mount the software

Wait until the download is complete. If your web browser and system are properly configured, Disk Copy or Finder will open and mount the downloaded disk image. If this does not happen, locate in Finder the .dmg file that you downloaded and double-click it to open and mount the image.

2. Install the software and restart

When the disk image mounts, a new Finder window will open that contains the icon for launch2net – Sony Ericsson Edition installer. Double click on the installer icon to install the software.

Please restart after installation is complete.

3. Open the Software folder

Please find the "launch2net – Sony Ericsson Edition" folder in the Application folder of your Hard Disk.
