Use your MD300 USB modem with Mac OS X

Thank you for purchasing a modem device from Sony Ericsson.
To use a MD300 USB modem with your Mac OS X system, you will need “launch2net – Sony Ericsson Edition”. This application enables you to set up and use HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE and GPRS connections, depending on your mobile device and network carrier.
If you want to use the MD300 USB modem, please make sure your Apple Macintosh is clocked with at least 1 GHz.

IMPORTANT:
- Install launch2net first before plugging in your MD300.
- Do not sleep your Mac whilst the configurator window is open. If you have, or you are unsure, unplug the MD300 before resuming your Mac.

Installation

1. Mount the software
Wait until the download is complete. If your web browser and system are properly configured, Disk Copy or Finder will open and mount the downloaded disk image. If this does not happen, locate in Finder the .dmg file that you downloaded and double-click it to open and mount the image.

2. Install the software and restart
When the disk image mounts, a new Finder window will open that contains the icon for launch2net – Sony Ericsson Edition installer. Double click on the installer icon to install the software.
Please restart after installation is complete.

3. Open the Software folder
Please find the "launch2net – Sony Ericsson Edition" folder in the Application folder of your Hard Disk.

4. Read and follow the manual
In the "launch2net SEMC" folder you see the application and the manual. Please open the manual to see how to work with your Sony Ericsson product.
