launch2net and ExpressCard Modems

nova media | Macintosh software for Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Bluetooth cell phones, USB modems and ExpressCards

With some Notebooks we have received reports about freezes if a GPRS connection is used. In this case, the Notebook is not shielded sufficiently against radio interference. Please contact your Notebook´s manufacturere for more information.

To solve this issue, please

a) use an external antenna for GPRS connections, which you can buy from your ExpressCard vendor.

b) set your software to HSDPA/UMTS only so that a HSDPA/UMTS signal is used, event if it is weaker than a GPRS signal

launch2net reports "device is busy"

Please close all programs and detach any phone, modem or PC/ExpressCard from your Mac. Then switch to HARD DISK/LIBRARY/APPLICATION SUPPORT and delete the folder "launch2net" you see there.

Now install launch2net again, here is the link to the latest version, and restart.

Attach the mobile device to the Mac and run launch2net again.
